Sampalukan Fish Sanctuary – Site You Don’t Want to Miss in Isla Verde

Snorkeling at the Sampalukan Sanctuary is one of the most sought after activities in Isla Verde. Sampalukan Sanctuary is the home for a wide variety of aquatic species is just around 5-10 minutes away by boat from Engracio’s.

Activity Duration: 2.5 Hours including transfer time.

A Must: Bring your own snorkeling gear (masks, snorkel, water shoes)

Optional: Bring trekking shoes (see suggested itinerary below).

Itinerary for Snorkeling at the Sampalukan Sanctuary

  • You can start anytime depending on the boat trip schedule. It is not advisable to avail of the Snorkeling at the Sampalukan Sanctuary and Trek and Snorkel during the onset of hight tide and low tide. 
  • Pick-up point: Engracio’s Beach Resort
  • Drop-off point after the Snorkeling:
    Option 1 – Engracio’s Beach Resort
    Option 2 – Globe Cell Site ( near Lalanguyin)
  • If you choose Option 2, you have to avail of the Trek & Snorkel, which covers trekking and snorkeling by the volcanic rock and rock jumping at the Lalanguyin. Your boat service provider will leave you with your Trek & Snorkel guide. To get back to Engracio’s, you have to climb a cliff and trek hills.
